Years ago, some tree climbers started using a rock climber’s chalk bag as a little stuff sack for their throwline. We worked with Don Blair to take this good idea and make it perfect for tree climbing. Stuff your throwline into our Linemug and you'll love how the line pays out smoothly when you throw, and piles back in when you’re finished.
Our Linemug has an external D ring for clipping to your saddle, an inside webbing loop for tying off the end of your throwline, a webbing side handle so you can hold it like a coffee mug with the top pointed at your target branch, and a drawstring top to keep line and shot pouch inside when you aren’t using them.
It was arborist and author Jeff Jepson’s idea to add a swivel snaphook to the rim for clipping onto your pants belt—a very convenient setup when handling line.
The Linemug is 5" in diameter and 6" tall, easily holding over 150 feet of light nylon line like our Throwline. Available in Olive, Forest, Black, or Red.
