TREE CLIMBING NORTHWEST |
|
Do you want a closer connection to your natural surroundings? Beyond the Branches is a guided experience designed to take you deeper into your tree time. This is not your typical skills and equipment class. In fact we will be talking about how to reduce the amount of gear we take into the trees, allowing us to engage with nature as closely as we can. If you are an experienced tree climber wishing to explore the potential of your relationship with trees and nature, please join us on this journey.
We will focus on: Your guides are powerful seekers of spiritual connection with nature: • Tim Kovar of Tree Climbing Northwest, tree climber, tracker • Carolyn Temes, tree climber and life-long student of the wild
Participants: 8, plus two guides.
Schedule: Thursday July 29, 9:00am to Saturday, July 31, 5:00pm.
Location: Tree Climbing Northwest training site near Portland, Oregon
Requirement: You must be an accomplished DRT tree climber or graduate of a Basic Tree Climbing Course
Things to Bring: • Your own tree climbing gear • Camping gear (all you will need, including sleeping bag, tent, personal camp kitchen, headlamp) • Your food for 3 lunches, 2 dinners and snacks. (Breakfasts will be provided.) • A blindfold |
